The Sullivan County Welfare Fraud Task Force has arrested:
December 10th 2021 – Cinthia Bonilla 25 of South Fallsburg was arrested and charged with Offering a false Instrument for Filing in the 1st Degree a Class D Felony and welfare fraud in the Third Degree a Class E Felony. It is alleged that Bonilla stole $5,038.85 in SNAP Benefits by filing an application and recertification’s to the Department of Family Services containing false information about her household composition. Bonilla was processed and released on an Appearance Ticket to return to the Town of Liberty Court at a later date.
December 13th 2021 – George VanAken 47 of Hurleyville was arrested and charged with Misuse of Food Stamps a Class A Misdemeanor. It is alleged that VanAken stole $700.00 in SNAP Benefits by failing to disclose to the Department of Family Services that he was employed. VanAken was processed and released on an Appearance Ticket to return to the Town of Liberty Court at a later date.
December 15th 2021 – Eugene E. Nietzel 47 of Liberty was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree a Class E Felony. It is alleged that Nietzel stole $1,387.00 in SNAP Benefits by failing to report income in the form of Unemployment Benefits. Nietzel was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail, pending an Appearance in Sullivan County Court.
December 21st 2021 – Nicole J. Koelpin 27 of Woodridge was arrested as a Fugitive from Justice out of Pennsylvania, after Detectives learned Koelpin had been staying with family in Woodridge. Koelpin was taken into custody without incident and turned over to SCSO Patrol. Koelpin was ultimately arraigned in the Town of Fallsburg Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
