October 5th 2022 – Marek Domarecki, 44 of Brooklyn NY, was arrested for Petit Larceny a class A Misdemeanor. It is alleged that Marek Domarecki did steal $527 in SNAP benefits from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services, by failing to report income and cash deposits into his personal bank account in the amount of $9,000 per day on multiple dates over a course of time ranging from 09/18/2020 to 05/31/2022 at which time he was collecting SNAP Benefits. Marek was processed and released on an appearance ticket to return to the Town of Liberty Court at a later date.
October 25, 2022 – Rivkah Mosesson 53 of Monroe was arrested and charged with the class E Felony of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the 1st Degree, and the class D Felony of Welfare Fraud in the 3rd Degree. It is alleged that Rivkah Mosesson did steal $8,903.88 in total of Public Assistance funds and SNAP benefits from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services, by failing to disclose that she was in receipt of Unemployment Insurance Benefits from September of 2020 through September of 2021 at which time she was collecting SNAP Benefits and Public Assistance. Rivkah Mosesson was processed and arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and released on her own recognizance pending a future court date in the Town of Liberty.
November 1, 2022 – Isaac Roth 29 & Faigy Roth 27 of Liberty were arrested and charged with Welfare Fraud in the 3rd Degree a class D Felony, and Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree a class D Felony. It is alleged that Isaac and Faigy Roth did steal SNAP and HEAP benefits exceeding $3,000 from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services. Isaac and Faigy Roth (co-applicants) failed to disclose to the Department of Social Services that they were receiving $1,000 in rental income from two tenants at their multi-family dwelling between the dates of December 16, 2021 through March, 2022, at which time they were receiving SNAP and HEAP benefits that they were otherwise not entitled to. Isaac and Faigy Roth were processed and arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court, a disposition was agreed upon and no future court date is scheduled. The Sullivan County Welfare Fraud Task Force was assisted by the New York State Department of Financial Services Criminal Investigations Fraud Bureau.
