Wife of Schohorie Limo Driver Charged with Welfare Fraud

The wife of the driver killed in the Schohorie limousine crash was charged with three felonies after the Warren County sheriff’s office said she underreported her income in order to qualify for a public housing vouchers.

Kim Lisinicchia, 54, was charged Tuesday with grand larceny, welfare fraud and offering a false instrument.

The Glens Falls Housing Authority told deputies that while Lisinicchia was living in Queensbury from January 2016 to October 2018 she failed to report over $24,000 in income from another household member.

Failing to report that money allowed Lisinicchia to qualify for a federal housing voucher.
She is due back in Glens Falls city court next week.

Scott Lisinicchia was among the 20 people killed on Oct. 6 when the limousine he was driving crashed into a wooded lot next to the Apple Barrel Country Store at the intersection of routes 30 and 30A.
